Bathroom

Steam Shower Upgrade:
The client wanted to have a place to unwind at the end of a hard day at the office. CDS delivered this bath remodel featuring a steam shower with multiple massage heads and steam upgrade. We entirely removed bathroom fixtures floor to ceiling including sheetrock. Framing, lighting, controls and plumbing the steam shower with a wrap around bench seat where the original tub/shower enclosure once was, we sealed the bottom pan to the new sub-floor. The home owner had us change out the bathroom sink and install a new toilet. CDS also assisted with the design of this project which included tile patterns for the shower walls counters, back splashes and floor tile.

We updated this existing family room addition for a couple in the Cambrian area of San Jose. This house was wired for cable and telephone when we started. . Taking this room from an empty shell to a comfortable modern lounge required new low voltage cabling including high speed internet, satellite and digital cable. From a conversation with our client CDS came up with a design for a custom entertainment center with 4X5 closet for storage, two 2’X4’ cupboards,

CDS rose to the challenges this project produced. We
were hired to remodel an existing gift shop with 300 sf, inside a retirement
community. This was located in the common area and needed to stay open while
the work was going on. Our team worked around curious
onlookers and made sure the area was safe for everyone. CDS found
inaccuracies in the drawings during the project and had the challenge
of reconfiguring the space. We were still able to bring the project to a
close on time and within budget.

Medical
includes 6 dental chairs, x-ray machine, dark room,
break room and a reception/waiting area. VSI worked closely with the medical
supply company to make sure everything was completed
according to the dentist's timeline.

This interior renovation converted outdated office
space into a surgical equipment sterilization area. Approximately one half
of the projects scope involved mechanical systems including
high and low pressure steam, plumbing and a complete HVAC system with
specialized exhaust ducting. The finishes in the space
were similar to a clean room environment, including the use of sheet vinyl
flooring, Mylar ceiling tile, high build glazed
coatings, etc.
The biggest challenge was introducing all of the
required HVAC equipment into small crawl spaces, process rooms and low
ceilings. The coordination of this work proved to be a
challenge when combined with the space needs of the owner.

Retail
tenant improvement changing an existing restaurant
into a retail space. This project encompassed extensive demolition,
remediation and extensive work to the HVAC,
electrical and fire safety systems. This location added an outdoor patio for
retail use.

change in exterior decor project involved removing
all of the existing front signage tire/trash enclosure while keeping Tires
Plus in full operation.

Brown let VSI deliver for them! VSI's crew came in
and quickly got the owner's space built out for him. In today's market, the
quicker turn-over of a retail space is critical to
the owner's daily cash flow needs. Our project management team and site
supervisor worked closely with the owner to ensure all
of his scheduling needs were being met.

Multi-Family Housing
This project consisted of a renovation of a living
complex for the elderly. The construction converted office space into
residency space. Special consideration had to
be taken into account during construction for dust, noise and safety issues.


20 private assisted living suites and 10 memory care
suites. This project had a unique outlook as we were able to meet and exceed
the client expectations. Due to our coming in with a
lower bid, the owner was able to do up-grades and still remain in budget.
Ultimately, we were able to provide the client with
the best quality and savings in the business.

Hospitality
Open spaces and festive colors make this build-out
an existing place to workout. The owner's concept of a 24 hour a day fitness
center is a very unique building feature. During the late
evening hours the spaces high tech digital entry and camera system doesn't
require anyone present to leave the lights on and
remain open all night. The system is user programmed with a card to allow
access to members only. Over the lifetime of their
occupancy, this feature gives guest the flexibility to come and go while the
owner reaps the benefits of the labor savings.

Fantastic Sam's is a national franchise hair salon
and is located in a small strip mall. This 900 sf retail interior build out
was completed within a very tight schedule and
on time.

This is a high-end tenant build-out of an Aveda
Lifestyle hair service and day spa. VSI worked closely with the owner and
architect to adhere to John Joseph's strict requirements
of look and feel. Use of a vurque cloud drywall design over the hair
stations and make-up area give the salon an open feel.
The lighting in the cloud ceiling and the special order wood flooring really
made this one an Aveda A+.

This was a 180,000 square foot hospitality project
focusing on renovations to suites and common spaces. VSI remodeled interior
floors from existing conditions to timeshare condominiums;
including 300 suites, lobby, theatre, exercise rooms and sales center. We
upgraded electrical services to every floor,
installed new plumbing lines for a new kitchen. Services provided by VSI
included FF&E installations. The primary
challenge was to accomplish the renovations with minimal disruption of the
hotel guests and staff.

Several years ago, VSI did the original construction
build-out of the hair salon and day spa for the same owner. With today's
changing times, and a consumer demand for a more
lavish look and feel, VSI was able to capture that "look and feel" with this
high-end finish. The entire salon is 4680 square
feet, and consists of twenty hair stations, four nail stations, make-up
area, hydrotherapy room with Vichy shower, pedicure area
with a waterfalls, men's and women's specialized dressing rooms, message
rooms, steam rooms, and several waiting areas. All
the rooms are specially designed with the idea of relaxing and catering to
their upscale clienteles needs.
